Abstract

Algo que chama a atenção nos escritos de Ellen G. White, entre outras coisas, é a estrutura implícita que subjaz à sua obra, onde os conceitos de redenção, liberdade e serviço são elementos centrais. Assim, o objetivo desta artigo é descrever e analisar brevemente esses conceitos, refletindo sobre suas implicações para a fundamentação da Educação Superior Adventista, caracterizando-a como possuidora de uma teoria e prática transformadoras.

Author Biography

Adolfo Semo Suárez, Universitário Adventista de São Paulo, Brasil

Formado em Teologia e Pedagogia, Adolfo Suárez é doutor em Ciências da Religião e Pós-Doutor em Teologia Sistemática. É Coordenador de Graduação da Faculdade Adventista de Teologia, no UNASP-EC, onde também leciona na Graduação e Pós-Graduação. É autor de diversos livros, dentre os quais “Redenção, Liberdade e Serviço – Ellen G. White e o Processo de Construção Humana” e “Nos Passos do Mestre – A Essência do Discipulado Bíblico”. Além disso, é coautor da Coleção Interativa de Ensino Religioso da CPB, material didático para estudantes do Ensino Fundamental e Ensino Médio das Escolas Adventistas.
