Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como propósito analizar los espacios de sociabilidad de los sectores populares en la ciudad de Chillán entre los años 1869-1900, a partir de la fundación de la Sociedad de Artesanos La Unión de Chillán y los discursos identitarios que se produjeron a partir de las relaciones entre los distintos sectores de la sociedad.

Marcos Parada Ulloa, Universidad Adventista de Chile, Chile

Profesor de Historia y Geografía por la Universidad Adventista de Chile, magíster en Historia de Occidente por la Universidad del Bío-Bío, doctorando en Historia en la Universidad de Los Andes. Actualmente es director del Centro Histórico y Académico del Departamento de Historia de la Universidad Adventista de Chile, donde también realiza actividades de investigación sobre historia social, educación y sociabilidad durante los siglos XIX y XX en Chile.
