Telework consists of a remote modality to perform different tasks. Due to the pandemic of COVID-19, this modality has been extended to various areas of work, among which stand out the educational activities at the university level. The objective of the present investigation was to design and validate an instrument capable of measuring the variables “university professor´s environment” and their “level of adaptation to telework.” For this purpose, a group of experts was convened, a pilot test was carried out and an inferential statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 27 software as a tool for psychometric tests. Regarding the results, after the item discrimination test, an instrument consisting of 22 questions was obtained. Cronbach's alpha (α) for the variables was 0.899 and 0.752 respectively. Confirmatory factor analysis with Varimax rotation was used to test the general validity of the instrument, the separation of the variables and the belongingness of the items. The value of this proposal lies in the transferability of the instrument to other regional contexts in order to identify correlations between the target variables.Downloads
